The 2020 CAPA Marquee Awards culminates with a red-carpet ceremony and student showcase at which the winners of each category will be announced. Throughout the course of the evening, audiences will experience live performances, including an Opening and Closing Number with nominated representatives from all participating CAPA Marquee Awards schools, production numbers from the five musicals nominated for Best Musical Production, and medleys featuring the Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Best Actress in a Leading Role nominees. Students selected as Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Actress in a Leading Role will be designated as official Jimmy Award® nominees and will receive a CAPA-sponsored trip to New York City in June 2020 to attend a nine-day professional training intensive with theatre professionals and industry experts, and compete on the national level for the 2020 Jimmy Awards® for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress.
